Who is your favorite storyteller?
David Harms…Does he count? I think he is the only storyteller I know.
Most amazing encounter with someone in need?
A 12 year old boy in Rwanda named Iradukunda. He had been abandoned by his parents, lived on the street, and was extremely malnourished. He was partially blind due to an infection he had when he was a baby. We took him to the eye clinic and they said there was nothing they could do. Eventually he would go blind. In the face of every difficulty he had stacked against him, he continued to not only excel in school, but more amazingly he never lost his smile. Every day he had an unquenchable amount of joy and love. He didn’t care what the doctors said; he had a hope, and regardless of his diagnoses, he knew that God was good. His faith, hope, and love were incomparable to any that I’ve seen. It’s not until now that I realized how at 12 years of age, facing unimaginable circumstances, his life truly exemplified exactly who the Bible calls us to be.
